Altar Guild

The Altar Guild serves the Church through the careful preparation and care of all that is used in worship. This ministry works mostly behind the scenes, ensuring that the altar, vessels, linens, and appointments of the church are prepared reverently and in good order for each service.

Members of the Altar Guild set the altar before worship, prepare the elements for Holy Communion, care for sacred vessels and linens, and help maintain the beauty and order of the sanctuary. Their work supports the clergy and altar party by allowing the liturgy to proceed smoothly and without distraction.

Serving on the Altar Guild is a quiet but deeply meaningful ministry. It is well suited for those who are attentive to detail, prayerful in spirit, and desire to serve faithfully without being in the foreground. Training is provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
